ABOUT US – COMMUNICATION INFRASTRUCTURE & TELECOM CONSTRUCTION IN ALASKA

Nearly 40 years ago, Alaska needed a telecommunications contractor that not only understood the conventions of the oil industry but could also effectively engineer, install and configure mission-critical communications systems to operate reliably in the face of the world’s harshest environments and most remote locations.

William “Bill” Laxson recognized that demand and accepted the challenge by founding North Slope Telecom with the stated intent communication infrastructure and telecom construction for the oil and gas companies in Alaska.

NSTI quickly became the recognized authority for rugged telecommunication systems in the Alaskan oilfields; a position we proudly maintain. However, our reputation has not been isolated to the borders of Alaska or to the oilfield industry in general.

With the NSTI brand on the rise, our services have been requested and rendered in many other parts of the country. We have since expanded into other markets such as mining, government (state and federal), public utilities, emergency response and public safety that demand our unique suite of qualifications.

In 2013, NSTI became a Channel Partner for Motorola Solutions, making us a true “One Stop Shop” for telecommunications. Since then, we have become the largest Professional & Commercial Radio (PCR) dealer for Motorola in the state.
